It features a GIANT centerpiece Haworthia in a field of Crassula "Watchchain" Mucosa. The top fills out nicely with Sedum Ternatum, and at the bottom you have Sedum Morganum "Burros Tail" which will create lovely drooping tails over time. The image was taken just after planting, so there will be a bit of settling in as the plants grow in a more uniform direction and the S. Morganum goes to a darker emerald green (as it was previously outdoors).

Sedum Sexangulare takes a while longer to grow. So I was really happy once I had enough to make this piece. It contrasts with a giant Graptoveria "Debbie" in the center.
Giant blue atoll echeveria as a focal point, interspersed with hundreds of little Sedum Japonicums. Currently the S. Japonicum is in "small mode" for the summer, but over time these will explode into a dense mat as they increase in size for even greater beauty.
This includes a integrated water moisture sensor in the back of the frame.

I took great care with this one to interleave the Sedum Album in a way that preserves the natural growing pattern. There is "red ice" S. Album interspersed to provide a good balance with the central focal point.
This includes a integrated water moisture sensor in the back of the frame.
"Blue Atoll" echeveria centerpiece surrounded by a mix of sempervivum and rosularia platyphylla.
Hundreds of little S. Japonicum strands planted around a Graptoveria "Betty." I continued to use redwood, but went with a bit more depth as I think it's better for the health of the plants.
SOLD at Power Plant Farmer's Market :)
Switching up the plants a bit and trying a more narrow frame. Switching to redwood for outdoor durability.
The outdoor test of S. Album. This one has a fancy built-in irrigation system and moisture sensor behind the frame. I've only watered it twice in two months. Trying to dial-in the moisture retention in the growing medium and to enable easier watering for indoor models.
A Lampranthus with flowering S. Album surrounding it. It's currently indoors so I can see how well the plants fare in low light conditions.
A field of S. Japonicum var. "Prunedale" surrounded by S. Palmeri, S. Rupestre "Blue Spruce", S. Spurium "Creech", and S. Angelina. The D. Cooperi hasn't flowered yet, but when it does it'll look beautiful.
With Sedum spurium "Creech" in the corners. This was my first attempt at living art, it had a lot of flaws, but found a happy owner at the Power Plant Farmer's Market. SOLD - I was so skeptical it'd be good enough to sell, I didn't even take a picture.
